Hi everyone!!
How are you all doing? My goodness gracious! I can hardly believe that this is my last week! The time has just flown by absolutely so extremely quickly! Today has been such a special day though! I woke up with my companion singing "Las mañanitas" to me even though she's from Chile. ♥ que tierno, no? ;) & then we got to go to the Temple and followed by that we went to a school of disabled children and sang them some Christmas songs.. it was my responsibility to put together the Feliz Navidad number for all the Latinas and that went super great. Can't complain. :) Afterwards we had a zone party and ate tons of mexican food from Costco! haha! Tamales, Tacos, Taquitos, chips & salsa & guacamole. :D I love these Sisters! & I just got back from eating AGAIN with the Hernandez family at the Cheesecake Factory! What a fun birthday/preparation day! Seriously! I love love loveee it! Stuffed to the core, but happy! Pansa lleno corazon contento, no? ;) Thanks you for the love familia! & for the flowers. I melted!  :)
Well, now I suppose I should concentrate on my miracles of the week - my oh my have there been many! You will not even believe what I have to tell you.... Sooooo... Jerry has a brother who I was the first missionary he had met - Yves (pronounced Eve) -. I met him over a year ago in October. So, not too long ago he came  back when I was with Sister tanner and we had a SUPER long discussion and he ran into ALLL this anti-mormon material and then was just being argumentative.. Jerry obviously moved passed it - even though it was his brother - and Yves IS GETTING BAPTIZED THIS SATURDAY!!!!! Yes believe me when I tell you. Absolutely SUPER top cherry on my mission! He's like - "Sister you HAVE to be there" I asked him, "What changed?" and he told me he talked to his Stake President (The leader over several congregations within a geographical area) and he said that he answered him "With just the right questions back" ♥♥♥ Heaven! Thank goodness for inspired leaders. He also told me that he has grown up with migraines his WHOLE life and that recently he even had to go to the emergency room. When speaking with the stake president, him and his secretary gave Yves a healing blessing and he told me he hasn't had a headache since. Coincidence? Absolutely not! God's authority that was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith is SO real. He told me "Sister, I told you I was going to need a miracle - & I got it. Now I need to be baptized." We obviously know it doesn't work that way all the time, but it was incredible to me to be able to witness his change of heart. Incredible what the spirit of truth is capable of doing. The blessings keep a'prourin'!
Thanksgiving is over! & we know what that means, right? YESSSS CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!!!!! Also, tons and tons of lost children. (a security guard told me there were 19 the opening day) ;) Hahah. But it has been so beautiful and lovely and incredible. Seriously! I am so happy I get a taste of this craziness! We have this new assignment called "Sing & Smile" and we have to go carol outside for like 45 minutes and it is the BEST! Tanner even visited me the other day and brought along some friends from the Westminster college soccer team and they joined in with the sisters in our singing. It was so cute. :)
Brian has been loving everything he has been learning. He LOVED going to church in Texas. So much better than his experience he has previously (thank goodness!!!) and he even texted me after telling me how he absolutely loves learning about the Plan of Salvation and how it all just makes sense and answers so many of his questions he grew up with as a child and was never given an answer. Pretty neat. I'm hoping I'll be able to skype into his baptism even though I'll be home! I'm going to beg and plead!! :D
A highlight from my day yesterday when when I received this text from a sister after doing some role-plays with her "Hi Sister Cuevas, thank you so much fro this morning. I will practice more so I could be like you one day. You are so awesome I♥U" Talk about a tender mercy!!!!!! Ahhhhhh I just never want to leave! I need to just transfer all my knowledge from my mission to all these sisters. It's incredible to look back and to see just how much I've grown.
Thank you for everything - everyone! All your never ending support. I will see you all next week!
e-mail me at ccuevas1293@gmail.com or ccuevas129@yahoo.com (i'm going to be deciding when i go home but they both already exist. :)) haha.
Love you!!!!

Love,
Sister Corina Selene Cuevas
